New Entry in Methodist Health System’s Multi-Million Dollar Investment in Primary Care
Inwood Village Getting $1.2 Million Methodist Family Health Center
The November 5 grand opening of the new Methodist Family Health Center – Inwood Village, 5709 W. Lovers Lane, marks the continuation of a $13 million commitment Methodist Health System is making in expanding primary care medicine through 2014.
A major goal of Methodist’s business plan is to expand its successful model of providing community-based primary care at strategic locations throughout North Texas. The first objective was reached in July with the opening of Methodist Family Health Center – Preston Hollow. The second milestone is Tuesday’s opening of Methodist’s 22nd health center/medical group: Methodist Family Health Center – Inwood Village.
The $660,000, 5,000-square-foot facility features a large, comfortable patient waiting area with guest Wi-Fi, 13 exam rooms, on-site lab services, electronic health records and extended hours Tuesday through Friday. The center’s design, amenities and operational structure reflect focused attention to consumer convenience, comfort and preferences. Two high-demand patient services available are same-day appointments and acceptance of all major managed care plans in the Metroplex. Once capital costs are coupled with $460,000 in annual operational expenses, the center represents a $1.2 million investment at Inwood Village.
