Learn How to Survive the Holidays with Diabetes at Methodist Charlton Event
Do you want to enjoy the holidays and control your diabetes? Learn how and kick off the upcoming holiday season at a fun event sponsored by the Methodist Health System Diabetes Self-Management Program and Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center. This free event will be held Monday, Nov. 12, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Methodist Charlton Auditorium located in the Outpatient Center.
Attendees can expect to learn about meal and party planning, portion sizes, label reading, physical activity, and how to handle stress. Presentations will be given by a nurse and dietitian specializing in diabetes. In addition to a sample holiday meal to enjoy, the event features door prizes and giveaways.
Methodist Charlton is located at 3500 W. Wheatland Road in Dallas, near the intersection of Highway 67 and Interstate 20. Free parking is available in the parking garage and parking lot near the Outpatient Center. For more information, call 214-947-7262.
