When a wound from an accident, underlying disease, or infection isn't healing properly, appropriate care can save life and limb. Methodist Health System offers this highly specialized care at our four Wound Care and Hyperbaric Centers in North Texas.
With locations at Methodist Dallas, Methodist Charlton, Methodist Mansfield, and Methodist Richardson medical centers, the wound centers offer care for people with:
- Diabetic wounds and foot ulcers
- Pressure ulcers
- Venous stasis ulcers
- Skin tears
- Traumatic injuries
- Post-surgical incisions
- Radiation wounds
- Severe anemia
- Many other types of non-healing wounds that have not shown signs of improvement in 30 days
Our wound care centers are staffed with a unique team of independently practicing physicians, nurses, and therapists all dedicated to healing chronic wounds. The causes of wounds are complex and our group represents expertise in all major areas necessary to handle varied circumstances and challenges in the wound care patient.

In 2005, the Methodist Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center was accredited by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society, one of only a few wound treatment programs in the nation to obtain this prestigious accreditation.
Texas law prohibits hospitals from practicing medicine. The physicians on the Methodist Health System medical staff are independent practitioners who are not employees or agents of Methodist Health System or any of its affiliated hospitals.
