Complementary therapies available through the Methodist Richardson Cancer Center, include:
Relaxation for All – open to all
2nd Tuesday of each month from 2 to 3 p.m.
4th Tuesday of each month from 2 to 3 p.m.
Join Methodist Richardson Cancer Center to explore a variety of relaxation techniques and gentle stretching. Manage daily stressors by learning breathing and movement techniques that can promote relaxation and an overall feeling of well-being. This free activity is open to the public.

Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Massage Therapy is available for patients currently under treatment.
Benefits of massage include releasing muscle tension, promoting relaxation, helping to alleviate pain, and promoting rest and sleep.
Hospital Artist-in-Residence Program
A professional artist provides patients and caregivers with opportunities to create art during cancer treatment. Art therapy has been clinically proven to decrease stress and improve quality of life for cancer patients and caregivers.

Methodist Richardson's relaxation room, located on the second floor of the cancer center, provides a place for prayer and relaxation or meditation for cancer center guests of all religions.
Visitors can enjoy a tranquil, quiet environment and remain just a few steps away from their loved ones.
