Dedication to transparency
Methodist Health System voluntarily gathers and reports data for public reporting to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)/Premier healthcare alliance Hospital Quality Incentive Demonstration (HQIC) pay-for-performance project, and to the Texas Health Care Information Council within the Texas Department of State Health Services.

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center Earns Top Performer Recognition From The Joint Commission – 11/6/2013
Methodist Mansfield Medical Center was named among the Top Performers on Key Quality Measures® by The Joint Commission for achieving exemplary performance in using evidence-based clinical processes that are shown to improve care for certain conditions. The clinical processes focus on care for heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia and stroke.

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center was honored with an “A” Hospital Safety Score in the fall of 2013 by The Leapfrog Group, an independent industry watchdog.

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center Earns an “A” in Patient Safety by Hospital Safety Score – May 9, 2013
Methodist Mansfield Medical Center was recognized with an “A” Hospital Safety Score by The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit run by employers and other large purchasers of health benefits. The A score was awarded in the latest update to the Hospital Safety ScoreSM, the A, B, C, D or F scores assigned to U.S. hospitals based on preventable medical errors, injuries accidents, and infections.
Methodist Charlton Medical Center Scores High In Patient Safety – May 9, 2013
Methodist Charlton Medical Center received a high patient safety score in The Leapfrog Group’s survey of more than 2,600 U.S. hospitals, according to the national nonprofit organization. The hospital safety score grades general acute care hospitals with letter grades of A, B, C, D or F based on how safe they are for patients. Methodist Charlton received a safety score of B.

Methodist Dallas and Methodist Charlton Medical Centers have been named top performers in a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Premier health care alliance value-based purchasing (VBP) project that rewards hospitals for delivering high quality care in five clinical areas. Combined, both hospitals received 14 awards

Methodist Charlton was recognized by The Joint Commission based on data reported about evidence-based clinical processes that are shown to improve care for certain conditions, including heart attack, heart failure, and pneumonia. Methodist Charlton is one of only 405 US hospitals, 34 Texas hospitals, and 2 Dallas hospitals earning the distinction of top performer on key quality measures for attaining and sustaining excellence in accountability measure performance.
